This may be hard for you to believe, but I am not perfect. GASP, WHAT???? How can that be true!?
I am limited by the fact that I am a creation and not a creator. That is just the way it is.
Brian posted that "God is God, and You're not".
Pastor Eric taught that "God is God, Deal!".
God says that He is the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End.
We are all in agreement that God is perfect and worthy of our worship. God said it, Pastor Eric taught it, Brian and I believe it. Not because Pastor Eric taught it, but because God said it. It all comes back to God. You can believe that Christians only follow their pastors because of what He says. I follow my pastor because of who he follows, and that would be Jesus. No one is perfect. We are the creation of a creative creator (say that three times fast). When we remember who He is, then all of a sudden our worship becomes a little more personal. Our prayers a little more intense. Our lives lived more for Him.
I have met the Son of God, and I am not even worthy enough to lick the crap off of His shoes. God's heartbeat is to be worshiped, and even with my imperfections I see that He is worthy of that worship.

When Worship Sucks
Sometimes my worship sucks. It's the truth. My worship sucks because I am more focused on how I sound then who I am singing to. God is worthy of my best and I sometimes lay a huge fricking sucky egg in front of Him. I am not focused on the things that I should be.
Worship is not just singing, it is serving. That means that when I fail to do my very best my worship sucks. When my attitude about serving is bad then my worship sucks. When it becomes about me then my worship sucks.
Jesus gave me everything and He is worth living for. So I need to give my best in all things because my worship to Jesus is my life not just my singing.

God Challenge
When was the last time God asked you to give up something? I am not talking about God saying, "Don't watch porn" or "Stop sleeping with that person who is not your spouse." Those things are a given if you are a Christ follower. I am talking about fasting from something so that you can focus on God. What is fasting? Fasting is where you purposefully give something up so that you can focus on prayer and God. You can fast from food, television, movies, sports, fishing, hunting, words, or anything else you can think of. You are telling God that it is more important to seek Him then to do these other things.
So when was the last time you fasted? Here is the challenge: find something that you will give up for a period of time so that you can focus on praying for The Crossing. Pray that God will increase the capacity of the church and that God will change more lives in this next year then ever before. Pray that you can have God's heart for Elk River. Pray that you can know God more.
Seek God and He will answer.
